I am a product designer with design experience in the B2B SaaS legal tech industry and healthcare industries:

I have design experience creating new features in Figma for existing products, user research, user interviews, and creating personas. I've also created and maintained design systems for SaaS products, modernizing the visuals for products that are 10+ years old. I've worked with startup companies to create UX audits of their existing digital products to improve them, as well as created prototypes for investors, on products that were not publicly released yet.

Recently I led a UX testing initiative to test brand new search functionality in a cloud-based product for attorneys. I wrote and designed all testing questions and prototypes, conducted one on one qualitative testing, as well as quantitative testing via Maze, and created affinity maps to synthesize the data and determine action items for the design team.

One thing I'm passionate about is accessibility, and my belief is that an aesthetically beautiful design is only half the goal - all designs should meet accessibility guidelines and be easily understood by all potential users. During college, I worked closely with individuals with developmental and physical disabilities and I saw firsthand how mobile devices can improve the lives of everyone.

Prior to becoming a designer, I spent five years working directly with clients at law firms and hospitals, supporting legal tech and healthcare software. I assisted with training clients on how to use the software, created seminar curriculums, and assisted with troubleshooting any issues that disrupted their user experiences across devices - from Apple products to PC and Android.

I'm proud of my time in the healthcare field - in 2019 I had the opportunity to represent Meditech, a driving force in the electronic health record software industry. I traveled to Toronto, Canada, three times in 2019 to directly assist a large hospital with optimizing their workflows and user experiences. I observed the daily workflows of their pharmacists and nurses, and provided feedback/recommendations for users. I helped  improve the company’s relationship with this hospital during these trips.

I love to keep Learning:

In 2020 during the pandemic, I earned a certificate in computer science for web development through Harvard University’s EdX program. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Cultural Anthropology. I prefer to involve many different departments early on in the design process for optimal communication, from the engineering/development teams, to customer success teams.  I used to be a migration coordinator for law firms, and my experience on the technical side using command line interfaces and copying data, is helpful when viewing the big picture of how software applications function. My experience with learning the basics of full stack development is helpful when communicating design concepts across diverse technical teams.

Fun facts:

When I'm not doing design work, I enjoy songwriting and music, traveling to different countries, sci-fi movies, and reading way too many books. I'm not very good at yoga or gardening, but I love both of those too!

A random fact about me, is that I'm also a songwriter. One of my songs was licensed for use in three episodes in season 13 of Real Housewives of Atlanta, on the Bravo cable television network.
